Kekalainen’s Experience
Kekalainen brings a wealth of experience following his eleven-year tenure with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He played a significant role during notable moments for the franchise, including several playoff appearances and the team’s inaugural playoff series win. Although his time with the Blue Jackets concluded in February 2024, his extensive background in scouting and international hockey is expected to enhance the Sabres’ operations.

General Manager Kevyn Adams expressed confidence in Kekalainen’s ability to bolster the team’s hockey operations.
